Paperwork Needed to Sell or Buy a Car in New Mexico
1. Vehicle Title
The title must be signed over to the new owner. Ensure that all liens are cleared.
2. Bill of Sale
Provide a bill of sale to the buyer, including details such as the VIN, sale price, and date of sale.
3. Odometer Disclosure Statement
If the vehicle is less than 10 years old, an odometer disclosure statement is required.
