Paperwork Needed to Sell or Buy a Car in Nevada
1. Vehicle Title
Must be signed by both the seller and the buyer.
2. Bill of Sale
A completed Bill of Sale is required.
3. Smog certificate
If applicable, a valid smog certificate.
Nevada Emission Control Program
4. Odometer Disclosure
Required if the vehicle is less than 10 years old.
5. Release of Liability
Notify the DMV of the sale by completing the Notice of Sale form (Form VP-24).

6. Loan payoff information
If applicable, provide information about any outstanding loans on the vehicle.
