Paperwork Needed to Sell or Buy a Car in Nebraska
To sell a car in Nebraska, you need the following paperwork:
1. Vehicle Title
Signed and completed by both the seller and buyer. Include the odometer reading, sale date, and purchase price.
2. Bill of Sale
A Bill of Sale is recommended to document the transaction details.
3. Odometer Disclosure Statement
Required for vehicles less than 10 years old. This can be included on the title or a separate form.
4. Lien Release
If applicable, provide a lien release from the lender.
5. Nebraska Certificate of Title Application (Form RV-707a)
The buyer will need this form to transfer the title.
