How to Correctly Fill Out an Ohio Vehicle Title

Filling out a car title in Ohio is an essential step when selling or transferring a vehicle. It's important to ensure that all the required information is accurate to avoid delays or legal issues. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you fill out your car title correctly in Ohio, along with helpful links for each step.

1. Complete the Seller and Buyer Information

On the front of the Ohio car title, you'll find sections for both the seller and the buyer. The seller must enter their full name and address as it appears on the title. The buyer will also need to provide their name and address. Both parties must ensure the information is accurate.

2. Odometer Disclosure

Ohio requires an odometer reading to be recorded at the time of sale. On the title, you will find a specific section for this information. Write down the exact mileage of the vehicle at the time of sale. It is important that this reading is accurate, as falsifying an odometer reading is illegal.
