How to Correctly Fill Out a Mississippi Vehicle Title

1. Seller's Section 

The seller must fill out the 'Assignment of Title' section which includes the buyer's name and address, sale date, sale price, and odometer reading.

2. Buyer's Section 

The buyer must fill out their name and address in the appropriate section. Ensure it matches the information on the bill of sale.

3. Signatures 

Both the seller and the buyer must sign the title in the designated areas. Some titles may require notarization.

4. Odometer Disclosure 

Complete the odometer disclosure statement if the vehicle is less than 10 years old. This can typically be found on the title itself.

5. Errors and Corrections 

Avoid making mistakes. If any errors occur, do not use white-out. Instead, draw a single line through the mistake and write the correct information above it. Both parties should initial any corrections.
