2. Fill Out the Buyer Information
The buyer must enter their full legal name and address in the buyer section of the title. It’s important to ensure that all information is accurate and legible.
3. Provide the Odometer Reading
As required by law, the seller must provide the vehicle's current odometer reading. This can typically be recorded on the title, but a separate Odometer Disclosure Statement may be required for vehicles under 10 years old.

4. Fill in the Sale Price
The seller must enter the sale price of the vehicle in the appropriate section. This should reflect the agreed-upon price between the buyer and seller.
5. Record the Date of Sale
Both the buyer and seller should write the date the vehicle was sold. The date is crucial for legal records and proper transfer of ownership.
6. Signatures of Buyer and Seller
Both the buyer and seller must sign the title in the designated sections to confirm the transaction. Make sure the signatures are clear and match the names printed on the title.
7. Submit the Title for Transfer
Once all sections of the title are filled out, the buyer must submit the title to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) to complete the transfer of ownership. Ensure all details are accurate before submitting.
